Grandma Marie Engels Cookies

From Marie Engels

Makes half of recipe

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tsp warm water over 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 6 cups flower 

Cream shortening and sugar

Add eggs , water, soda and flower over.

Bake 12 mins at 350
